It all started in October 1977, when Robert and Lee Day opened a salon in the East End of London. Robert, trained in a salon on the King's Road during an era typified by an explosion of creativity and style, he brought this ethos to the East End, and Robert e Lee was established.
Lee, Robert's sister and partner in the business, trained at the prestigious Molton Brown Salon in Covent Garden, working with an exclusive celebrity clientele often appearing in Vogue.

To maintain the outstanding quality of service that remains as good now as it always has been, all staff take part in ongoing training in the latest colouring and cutting techniques. Only using the highest quality products to treat their clientele.

Janine - Partner
Jan joined Robert e Lee in 1982 as a Saturday girl. She became full-time when she qualified at age 18, Manager at 22 and a Partner age 27.

Janine runs the salon on a day to day basis and is the most senior member of staff.

Janine's specialism and passion is colour, her favourite colour treatment is highlights. 'Loving the way even subtle highlights transform a person's whole look.'

Janine has just qualified as Wella Colour Expert.

Ellie - Trainee Stylist
Jan encourages the next generation of hair stylists by employing young people with talent after they have left school. She trains, encourages, mentors and puts them through their qualifications to become the future of hairdressing.

Although it was a hard choice! I can see and feel the difference using this product makes to damaged hair. The deep penetrating reconstructor rebuilds, protects and reduces breakage. It smells fruity and fresh like sherbert.
Tyler- Assistant
Just starting out, working as part of a team and assisting senior members of the salon. I'm slowly growing my responsibilities and finding new directions for my future in the hairdressing industry.
